I cannot stress enough how important a good reference image is. Your smartphone is more than capable of capturing an excellent photo for me to work from. Take a look at these dos and don’ts to help you get the best results.

To ensure I can get to work on your portrait as quickly as possible, please ensure that your submitted photos don’t resemble any of the bad examples below.

I’m aware that many of my commissions come from people who have lost their beloved pets and don’t have access to many images that fit these rules.
