what to include in your message

Photo references – I’ll need portraits of your pet at eye level, neck in view. I cannot stress enough how important it is to get a good reference photo. Your photo must be clear, not blurry or pixelated and well lit so I can accurately draw the detail. Multiple photos are preferred so I can get a better idea of what your pet looks like and choose the best angle/expression.

I cannot stress enough how important a good reference image is. Your smartphone is more than capable of capturing an excellent photo for me to work from. Take a look at these dos and don’ts to help you get the best results.

To ensure I can get to work on your portrait as quickly as possible, please ensure that your submitted photos don’t resemble any of the bad examples below.

I’m aware that many of my commissions come from people who have lost their beloved pets and don’t have access to many images that fit these rules.

I’m more than happy for you to send over whatever you have, and see if there’s anything I can work with.

ORDER a PORTRAIT

Your desired portrait size – I’ll need to know what size you’d like your pet portrait to be, how many pets you’d like to include, and whether you’d like a background colour. If you’re unsure on what would work best, I’m happy to have a chat to help you decide.

I ask for a 50% deposit before I begin pieces. This is to protect myself and ensure you are happy with the completed painting before full payment is made. Order is placed once the deposit is received.

Payments can be made via bank transfer or PayPal.
